WSHA Launches 2022 Women’s Leadership Program

The WSHA is thrilled to launch this year’s Women’s Leadership Program. Last year’s inaugural program received rave reviews from a large and diverse cohort of women. We encourage Washington hospitals and health care facilities to consider nominating women from groups that have historically faced barriers to leadership advancement, including women of color and the LGBTQ community.

The 2022 Women’s Leadership Program kicks off with an orientation session on Tuesday, April 26, then runs every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. until June 22.

For nine weeks, this virtual program brings together academics, peer coaching, inspirational panels, networking, and leading women executives in our state to help drive the career development of our future women. leaders. Participants receive live academic instruction and coaching for emerging leaders who identify as women with at least 5 years of post-graduate work experience.

It covers the following topics for participants to explore:

  • Presence of power, influence and credibility
  • How to Think Like a CFO
  • Negotiation Strategies for Women
  • Essentials of High Performance Leadership

The University of California, Paul Merage School of Business at Irvine—one of the most diverse business schools in the county with the highest number of female faculty per capita—provides the academic content.

Each module will include lectures as well as panel discussions with industry professionals and peer coaching sessions led by Elaine Couture, former Providence executive and former WSHA Board Chair. We expect participants to complete the program with new skills and a strong peer network of emerging leaders in our state.

Please visit the Women’s Leadership Program registration page for more information. If you have any questions about this program or any WHS education program, contact Education Program Manager Jenn Bui at [email protected] or 206.577.1818.
