Washington County, Virginia MPs Arrest 2 People Charged With Methamphetamine | WJHL
ABINGDON, Va. (WJHL) – Authorities found large amounts of cash, methamphetamine and prescription drugs in a house after two people were arrested in southwest Virginia, according to a county statement of Washington, Virginia Sheriff’s Office.
The statement says agents from the Sheriff’s Office and the Regional Drug Task Force arrived at a home in the 3000 Block of Reedy Creek Road around 5:00 p.m. on September 23 to serve a warrant for a drug offense. .
After their arrival, the liberation officers found two people in a nearby building, one of whom was named in the warrant.
While searching the area, officers reportedly seized approximately a pound of methamphetamine, “large quantities” of prescription drugs and approximately $ 8,000 in cash.
The two people found near the residence have been identified as Larry Smith, 50, from Washington County, Virginia and Chrystal Younce, 42, from Bristol, Tennessee. Both were arrested.
Smith was charged with drug probation violation, possession of crystal meth with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Younce has been charged with similar charges of possession and conspiracy with intent to distribute.
